Distant Dreamings: the seventies series

I remember the tendrils of Led Zepplin music weaving through the darkened smoke filled houses after midnight in the seventies…..it never came out till late, till the disapproving types had left the parties and the only ones left were the long stayers, those who appreciated good music when it was played the way it should be played…..and the night of music would always start with Led Zepplin….the houses were in suburbs in Canberra inhabited by public servants, those who had reached the rarified level of Class 8’s, 9’s and 10’s…..the furniture all matched and had come from respectable stores…..nice safe 3-piece fashionable lounges, whatever was in fashion that year…..

…..we didnt come for the class, for the furniture, we just came for the music….

In the words of J K Rowling..... ” I just write what I wanted to write. I write what amuses me. It’s totally for myself. ” if you enjoy what I write, I'm delighted...if you don't...then I'm delighted..... I'm a retired business manager chasing storms and weather in Australia and the USA, photographing anything that takes my eye, and catching up on my reading from the last 23 years. I've finally got the chance to share my thoughts with the world.
